![]() His voice is a beautiful blend of Robin Thicke’s soft, smooth vocals and John Legend’s strong, passionate belts, with a hint of Trey Songz sometimes peeking through as well. Can I just say, my breath was literally taken away (and I’m not exaggerating!) I was already hooked 10 seconds into the first song! I think it’s just great, feel-good R&B and I easily got through all of the songs without having to skip once. At the suggestion of my friend who saw him open for Robin Thicke in LA, I checked out his Facebook page & took a listen to his work today. This is the experience I had when listening to Luke James today. Now don’t get me wrong, some of my favorite songs have taken a LONG time to grow on me, but it’s such a relief to know that there’s still music out there that moves & excites me upon the FIRST listen. To not have to sit & contemplate about whether I think something is worth listening to again, but to just know, without a shadow of a doubt, that I could listen to this all day on repeat if I had to. I know this may sound pretty counter-intuitive/mindless, but it’s really just so refreshing to me to immediately know I like something when I hear it. I just really love it when I come across music that I don’t have to put any effort into.
